Located in the historic heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, between Luxembourg Museum and the French Institute, l'Amour de l'Art gallery was founded by Marie Borel in the early 1997, on the spots of a jeweller's, on rue de Seine number 67.
Truly passionated by arts, Marie Borel began working by the side of Michel Saint-Alban, a renown French landscapes painter, for whom she ran three galleries from 1991 to 1996. She didn't only show the painter's works but also some prestigious masters as Bernard Buffet, , Maurice Denis, Jean and Raoul Dufy, Marie-Laurencin, Maurice Utrillo etc.
l'Amour de l'Art gallery is now showing the works of current artists - painters, sculptors and photographs : Marc CLAUZADE, Soisick MARTIN (painting), Chantal DE SUTTER and Fred CHABOT (sculpture)
"I trustfully believe in art originality , with no quest of shocking or extravagance : I definitively reject from my exhibitions anything that is not a good match with what I consider as the three possible perceptions of "the Art work" : Esthetic, Poetic, Emotional. Any other one seems to me doubtful, specially the intellectual approach.
